FBA Setup Guide

You don’t need to spend a fortune to get started with Amazon FBA however you will need a few key essential bits of gear.

We breakdown everything we use to prep 1000 items ready for FBA here:

Printer

You’ll need to print small FNSKU labels for your products as well as larger shipping labels for your boxes.

You can make do with a normal printer and use A4 templates for your labels.

We use 27 up labels for FNSKU Labels and for shipping labels we use these 4 up labels.

However you will save on printing costs and time in the long-run by purchasing the handy Dymo 550 for your FNSKU labels.

This way you don’t need to buy the ink, just replen with labels when needed. It also comes with super useful software meaning you can quickly knock out custom labels such as suffocation warnings also.

Prep Essentials

You will need big strong shipping boxes to send your products to Amazon. Yes you can salvage boxes from anywhere and everywhere when you are starting out but you don’t want to waste time hanging around your local Tesco as you start scaling your business.

At some point you’ll likely need to save time by spending a little money on professional shipping boxes.

We use Extra Large Double Walled boxes at 610 x 457 x 457mm and they should cost you around £3 per box.

Finally if you’re prepping a lot of boxes you’ll want to invest in a good quality tape gun.

This will save you time and make the whole prep experience a whole lot easier. Don’t wait a full year like I did!
